An armed robber held up a gas station for cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes early Tuesday, police say.
Around 2:45 a.m., a man entered a gas station near King Street East and Sherman Avenue North. He was brandishing a knife and wearing pyjama pants when he demanded the clerk hand over cash and cigarettes, police say. The clerk obliged and said the suspect also stole a number of lottery tickets before fleeing the scene on a mountain bike, according to police.
The cleark was not harmed. The suspect was last seen riding his bike northbound on Sherman Avenue.
Police are looking for a white man, around five feet, eight inches tall with a heavy build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket with a blue or green fleece shirt underneath, pajama pants and a black toque.
