A Hamilton man arrested Tuesday for robbing a Scotiabank at Queenston and Nash roads is a suspect in other thefts, police say.
A man walked into the bank around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. He did not show a weapon, but passed the bank employee a note, said police spokesperson Sgt. Terri-Lynn Collings.
The suspect fled the bank and entered a cab. A witness took down the cab company name and number and an officer tracked down the suspect. He was then arrested.
Police linked this suspect to three other robberies in Hamilton: a Bank of Montreal at 303 James St. N. on Nov. 1, a Bank of Nova Scotia at 1255 Barton St. E. on Nov. 2 and a Royal Bank at 1145 Barton St. E. on Nov. 5.
