Hamilton weather, traffic and more: Daystarter Thursday

Bundle up, Hamilton, it's going to feel like -10 C out there Thursday morning. 

For 403 / QEW commuters, the nightmare of the mudslide will still haunt your drive in and out of the city. Eastbound lane restrictions appear to still be in effect. Westbound, the off ramp at York Blvd. remains closed, with all traffic being forced to use the next exit, Main St. E. The city said earlier this week it expects the mudslide woes to be over by the end of the week when York Blvd over the High Level Bridge is expected to be open again. 

GO Transit is not reporting any delays on routes in an out of Hamilton. 

Here's what police are reporting on the roads:

• Collision: Highway 403 EB, east of Mohawk Road, two vehicles on the shoulder. 7:50 a.m.
• Two cars in ditch on EB QEW at Ford Drive. 7:45 a.m.

Today's forecast is calling for a high of 0 C, although even then the wind chill will make it feel like -5 C. Expect -5 C to start your day (feeling like -10 C) and an early exit for the sun at 4:45 p.m. 

The good news about the cold weather is that it won't last. Temperatures are expected to rise over the next week. The bad news is that they will sit between 2 and 3 C, and rain is on the way for the weekend.
